I just acquired the equipment to start pulling wire for the first time. In Cookie's hand lining video and Keith's article on hand lining, they both mention connecting the lure to the leader with a dead snap and connecting the leader to the shank with a snap swivel. What size dead snap and snap swivel is recommended and should the snap swivel be a ball bearing swivel?

Size 2 is a standard size. Ball Bearing is not needed. This is my opinion. Best advise get out there and give it a try. No better way to learn then trying. You can catch 2 fish at once pulling wire now.

Thanks for the help! My main concern was using the wrong size dead snap and impeding the action of the lure. Now I have to tie up my leaders.
