I'm considering getting into the Perch Derby for the first time. I have not been able to attend meetings due to Wednesday night commitments so I have to ask my questions here.

1. I'm a member, but do all anglers on the boat have to be Club members? If my neighbor wants to fish with me (and share the derby fee) does he have to join to do so?

2. How many boats usually participate so I can get an idea of what the prizes might be.

3. What is the weight of previous year's winnings bags so I know if its worth my time going to the weigh in.

4. I feel kind of silly for having to ask this but, what exactly is the Calcutta option?

Thanks for indulging this derby newbie.

1. no it is open to all, you do not have to be a club member.
2. last year we had about a dozen.
3. working off memory i believe winning weight was just shy of 10lbs. Hoping someone will jump in here on this one.
4. it is an optional big fish pot.

Hope this helps. it is a good time. come on out and join the fun

Yes what Tim says is correct. 1st and 3rd places came form the grosse pointe yacht club area. Come and join the fun. What I do know is you cant win if you don't enter, send in the app to PO box and I will take care of everything.
