Today edition of the Detroit Free Press had our kids outing listed on page 14A! There is one correction needed for the article though, it has been decided to move the outing into the north boat basin. This was do with all consideration for safety's sake. Let's hope the cold temps continue!

Nice! Since the article is written I think we should stay on the lake rather than moving into the boat basin. LOL

Come on cold weather!

The temps are dropping and are predicted to continue for the next ten days. Any ice that was in place before the big thaw would be the safest ice. Although the canal from the boat basin to the lake at times can be open do to the currents. With the water as low as it is there should be plenty of space away from the canal. I wish you well where ever the kids will be fishing. I will be there to help with what ever I can.:bottomfish:
