I don't know what constitutes a full set of Ping A T lures, but I am sure 50 of them comes close. I would like to point out that the April 20th General meeting is a "Swap - Meet". You might feel inclined to show up as we do have a number of lure collectors in our club. PING A T s are very collectible since they are no longer being produced.

It is real easy to do, go to your control panel and set it so that members can send you email. Only people who are registered and logged into the message board can send the email (not outside people) and it would certainly speed up the process of contacting someone.

I think that it is legit since the spammers will leave a web site address in their profile. Also, anyone who tries to join up now has to be able to read a scrambled letter code as part of the registration procedure.

As administrator I have sent a notice to the person that people are interested. I do not know if anything will come of it but hopefully they will get back with a correct address.

Just a reminder guys and gals, fill in your profile and life could be a whole lot easier. It is easy to do.

Ive only got a offer for $5.00 a  piece. So I have been putting a few up on ebay. They are the ones with the ping-at brochure. I have  just put up a pair of black and yellow ping-a-ts.

Some are proto types.   Hand painted and made by Jerry Swarthout when he first started out. Him and his family made them on the kitchen table.  I remember when Jerry started out whittling a prototype when he first started them. I have a few proto types not many people have probably seen. I have a few that were used by Jerry.  I have been holding on to them for years. Now that I'm older. I need to pass them on to someone who will appreciate them for  what they are. I have seen Jerry with a lot of trophy fish caught with these lures.

These original  lures were made by Jerry Swarthout. If you have a favorite maybe I have it. I will put it up next if I have any request.

dcshilts wrote: The phone number is disconnected...could this be a scam? Not sure how it could be a scam just because the phone number is disconnected. If the phone number no longer works then no one can get a hold of the person so a scam would be hard.

Most likely the phone number is disconnected because the thread itself is about 18 months old and the person has changed the number or has moved. Plus, she put the lures on eBay in mid to late April according to a message from Salmon Slayer.

As Alex said a couple of times, the ad appeared legit at the time.

Why are you dragging up an old thread and "complaining" about the phone being disconnected?  Heck, things change, especially since the OP was March 29, 2011.

Jeeezzzz!
