I was doing a walk-about around Meijer today and saw that they had some canning supplies on Clearance.  These were all Ball products. The "best by" date was 2013 so we have two more years for what Ball figures is best and at least another year of good service from them.

On clearance sale at half price were the spice mixes for making the Fiesta Salsa and Sweet Pickles. They also had the pectin, both sugar free and regular. Since Loretta and I made batch after batch of herb jellies last year, both Basil and Rosemary, I had to pick up enough to get our supply back in shape for this coming season.

This clearance sale was going on at the Meijer at 12 Mile and Mound in Warren and it might also be happening at the store near you.

It's been a long winter and I can't wait for soft water. I found my self cleaning out the basement and found  2 dozen quart jars. If you want them let me know before I take them to the salvation army.:)

If you are not going to be able to make the meeting I will be in the St. Clair Shores area on Sunday.

I am not sure that the Salvation Army does anything with them.
