that pic is so old its not even funny..... The monster fish, which weighed an amazing 42.9 pounds, was caught in 2004 on a lake in southern Holland by Dutch angler Ewout Blom. He was trolling a perch-patterned Rapala Super Shad Rap when he noticed his rod bend slightly. It straightened, then bent completely. He set the hook and battled for five full minutes, including a few tense moments when the giant thrashed at the surface. The pike measured 50 inches (127 centimeters if you're Dutch). "The mystery is over," says NAFC Executive Director Steve Pennaz. "You can tell by its coloring and the shape of its fins that it's a European pike." Brent, I had already bookmarked that article about Ewout Blom's monster fish. The third picture in this thread is not his Pike, though. The lure the small pike hit on is not a perch pattern Super Shad Rap which is what Blom says he was using. The research I have done so far says that the double pike photo might be from this side of the big pond. Minnesota, maybe.

I was told it was caught it was caught in up state new york but before you call me out on this cause I DONT REALLY CARE WHERE OR HOW IT WAS CAUGHT I WAS JUST SHARING THE PIC ! I think the doggers knows the story? I belive thats his cousin...I called him only to find out he is in the hospital he is very sick liver/ gull bladder I hope he pulls through it dont look good.
