Hey Guy's and Gal's.  Just wanted to let anyone know that was interested that the Walleye are ON FIRE on the bay!  You don't have to go very far either.  I am getting fish in 5ft to 9 ft of water of the Saganing Sand Bar off of Whites Beach road. It is a 6:30am - 8:00am bite and a 5:00pm - 7:00pm bite.  There are also several perch around and HUGE Lakers (yes in that shallow) to toy with during the day.  With the Warm temps coming up be very cautious.  Once you get off shore the ice is 18-20 inches thick.

For those of you that know about Michigan Stinger Spoons, Rob was fishing with me yesterday and he really gave me confidence using those spoons.  We were getting them on Mixed Veggies, Freakin Veggies, and Yellow Tail all copper backs.  Then at night we were getting them on anything in there super glow colors.

If you get a chance try the bay, but again use extreme caution at all times!!

Capt. Joe

Sounds good so go and knock 'em dead.

Only thing is that I am already getting geared up for the open water. It has been a long winter.

Whites Beach Road dead ends into Saginaw Bay.  There is a ton of parking there.  If you look at a map, the Saganing Sand bar is just to the south of Whites beach road.  5 ft to 9t is anywhere from 1 mile to 2 miles off shore.  Is it walkable?  Bring your creepers!!!  Fish on either side of the Sand Bar, North side or south side.

Good Luck!!

A+ report LooneyTunes...

I remember 2 years ago catching a slew of 12 inch "hammer-handles" on the Sag. River off of the Vets Park. I knew this would be the year for 'em...just couldn't get up there. I wonder if I missed the boat on this one...might be lots of iffy pressure cracks after 3 days of warm weather. We're all your fish in the 2-4# range? Just wonderin"...
